Musik: Next Generation PyMusique Adds Support for Napster

Last month, Jon Johansen and others developed PyMusique, a software program that allows Apple iTunes users to strip digital rights management (DRM) from the music they purchase from the iTunes store.

Apple attempted to thwart Johansen's efforts, but that attempt failed.

Now comes Musik, the next generation of PyMusique, which adds support for Napster and continues to support iTunes.

Cody Brocious, one of the software developers for Musik, wrote on Apr. 13:
We have not finished reverse-engineering the license issues we’re having, but we’re getting close and we should have a release within the next few days so you can use your purchases songs on OS’s not supported by MS.
Musik is available for download.
